The much-anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is facing yet another delay, now gearing up for a release in October 2025. This announcement came straight from the development team at The Chinese Room and the game’s publisher, Paradox Interactive. While they haven’t pinned down an exact date just yet, more details are promised in the near future.
For now, you can catch the update and some gameplay clips in the video below:
As of now, Marco Behrman, the executive vice president for the World of Darkness IP, assures us, “The game is complete. We’re concentrating on ironing out bugs, ensuring stability, and optimizing performance to deliver the best possible experience to you upon release.”
The journey to this point hasn’t exactly been a smooth one for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Originally kicked off by Hardsuit Labs, the project faced its share of challenges leading to a push from 2021, followed by Paradox’s announcement that Hardsuit Labs would step back from the development helm.
After a long period of silence, news broke that The Chinese Room had taken the reins, bringing fresh life to Bloodlines 2. They’ve overhauled various elements of the game while keeping its iconic Seattle setting intact.
There were plans to launch the game last year, but it got postponed once more, pushing the release beyond 2024.
In this immersive role-playing adventure, you play as Phyre, an ancient vampire who awakens in a snow-covered Seattle after mysteriously vanishing. As you dive into the city’s shadowy intrigues, you’ll navigate through a complex web of schemes led by Seattle’s sinister residents.
Bloodlines 2 is set to make its way to Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), and PlayStation 5. Only time will tell if it will earn a spot among the top-tier games on Xbox and PC.
