TinyBuild has recently sold its quality assurance division, Red Cerberus, to TestFly for $1.5 million. This cash transaction was finalized upon closure of the deal.
Kevin Chelius, CEO of TestFly, expressed his excitement about the acquisition. “Integrating Red Cerberus into our team is a fantastic development,” he remarked. “Their reputation and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry will bolster our efforts to set new benchmarks in game testing. This move is pivotal in our mission to ensure that developers and publishers deliver consistently high-quality gaming experiences on a global scale. We’re also thrilled to enhance our foothold in Latin America.”
Meanwhile, Alex Nichiporchik, the head of TinyBuild, shared his thoughts on the sale, describing it as a strategic step to refine their business focus. “This is a significant moment for us as it allows us to zero in on our strengths—creating and expanding compelling intellectual properties,” Nichiporchik explained. “Red Cerberus has played a crucial role in our success, and I’m grateful to the team for their hard work.”
He further elaborated on how this decision is part of a larger strategy to reallocate resources, with the aim of increasing revenue through new gaming projects. “We’re eagerly anticipating the launch of some promising titles in 2025,” Nichiporchik added, “and remain enthusiastic about what lies ahead for TinyBuild.”
