This week on the Nintendo Switch eShop, there’s plenty to get excited about, with a mix of classic SNES games, fresh tunes for Nintendo’s music app, enticing sales, and a batch of new titles making their debut.
The Switch Online library is growing once again with four legendary titles from Koei, taking us back to the SNES era’s golden days. First up are Nobunaga’s Ambition and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness, which were originally launched in the early ’90s. Set in Japan’s Sengoku era, these games challenge players to reunite fragmented regions of the country amidst fierce conflicts.
Next, we revisit China with Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire, a strategic gem inspired by the famous historical tales. Here, players will navigate the chaotic times of the Second Han Dynasty, choosing how to wield power to unify a fractured empire.
Also from Koei, Uncharted Waters: New Horizons takes us on an adventurous seafaring quest set during Europe’s Age of Discovery. Released back in 1993, this title invites players to explore the open seas, trade goods, and engage in thrilling maritime battles.
In the realm of music, Nintendo Music app updates have arrived with a selection of 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. While this addition enhances the app’s offerings, it leaves us wondering when the rest of the soundtrack will join the mix.
New titles on the eShop include Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. We recently chatted with Turtle Flip Studio, the talented folks behind it, on the Pure Nintendo Podcast—you might want to check it out alongside our forthcoming review.
That’s the latest from the eShop lineup. Got your eye on anything? We’d love to hear what you’ve been playing lately!
