Bandai Namco Entertainment is gearing up to introduce a fresh installment in the beloved Tamagotchi series with “Tamagotchi Plaza,” set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2025. This new game takes players to Tamahiko Town, inviting them to step into the shoes of shopkeepers during the lively Tamagotchi Fest. The game’s focus shifts from the traditional pet-raising elements to a shop simulation framework, much like its predecessor, “Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop,” which was quite a hit on the Nintendo DS back in the mid-2000s.
Players will have the opportunity to manage a variety of 12 different shops, ranging from a dental clinic to an eyewear boutique, each offering unique and calming mini-games. More than 100 Tamagotchi, encompassing both cherished old friends like Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, and Memetchi, as well as a brand-new character unique to this game, will bring this world to life. As players successfully manage their shops and satisfy customers, they’ll have the chance to upgrade their stores and enhance the overall experience in this vibrant town.
For those who love a bit of competitive play, select shops will feature offline, two-player cooperative mini-games. Furthermore, a unique linking feature with the newly released Tamagotchi Uni toy will unlock exclusive content, adding another layer of engagement for players. However, it’s important to note that access to Tamagotchi Uni varies by region.
In addition to Tamagotchi Plaza, gamers can look forward to another cherished Nintendo series making a comeback. A new installment of Tomodachi Life is on the horizon, slated for a 2026 release. These reveals formed part of an exciting March 27 Nintendo Direct livestream, which also surprised fans with the immediate release of other titles like Disney Villains Cursed Cafe for the Switch.
As the release date approaches, anticipate more updates and insights that will further enrich the gaming community’s interest in this sweet and engaging simulation experience. Keep an eye out for more news as Bandai Namco rolls out additional details about this anticipated release.
