Today marks the launch of “Alien: Rogue Incursion” on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, with a version for Quest expected in February next year. In exciting news, developer Survios has also announced that they’re already deep into developing ‘Part Two’ of this thrilling saga.
In our comprehensive review of Part One, we awarded the game a respectable 7 out of 10. Its captivating atmosphere and compelling storyline impressed us, although we felt these strengths were somewhat overshadowed by repetitious enemy encounters and an unforgiving save system.
Standing on its own, the game offers around eight hours of intense Xenomorph battles and an engaging narrative. However, by the end, you’re definitely left anticipating Part Two’s continuation of the action.
While there aren’t many details yet about what Part Two will entail, Survios promises we’ll encounter fresh challenges and foes, taking us beyond the monotonous packs of Xenomorphs in Part One. They’ve indicated it will propel Zula’s story forward, featuring more formidable adversaries and tougher trials, and they’ve already begun work on it.
Meanwhile, the Quest version of Part One is scheduled to release exclusively on Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Adapting those intricate levels, rich textures, and physics-driven interactions for the Quest 3’s mobile chipset isn’t a trivial task—perhaps explaining the delayed release.
With most core systems in place from Part One, we eagerly anticipate a quick development cycle for Zula Hendricks’ next (and potentially final) confrontation with the rogue science station’s menacing Xenomorphs.
