The “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024” is set to bring excitement to fans across Europe, right from their own homes. Taking place within the highly acclaimed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch, this event is managed by Nintendo of Europe SE, located in Frankfurt, Germany.
### When and Where
Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6th, when the competition kicks off between 18:00 and 20:00 CET, or 17:00 to 19:00 UK time. Gamers from Austria, Belgium, and many other European countries are invited to join the fun. Unfortunately, players from remote areas like the Azores might not be able to participate due to technical considerations.
### Joining the Battle
To dive into the action, participants need a Nintendo Account set to one of the eligible countries and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. It doesn’t matter if you have a paid subscription or a free trial. Make sure you have access to the game on a Nintendo Switch. To get started, head to the main menu, select “Online”, then “Official Tourney Qualifiers” to enter the event.
### Scoring System
Achieving a high tourney score is the main goal, and it reflects each player’s skill based on match results and the strengths of their opponents. Players have the chance to continuously play and improve their scores, with all matches starting during the event counting toward this.
### Winning and Rewards
The top 10 competitors will each snag 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points. If you land within the top 100, don’t fret; you’ll still earn 1,000 Gold Points. Just make sure not to change your account settings to a non-participating country or cheat in any way because that will result in disqualification. Remember, these prizes can’t be converted into cash or any other form of reward.
### Prize Distribution
Once the event wraps up, gold points will be awarded to the winners’ Nintendo Accounts within two weeks. Winners can easily check their My Nintendo Point Log to see their earnings.
### Terms and Privacy
All players must comply with the Nintendo Account Agreement, Privacy Policy, and the terms of the My Nintendo Rewards Programme.
