In response to economic challenges such as high inflation and shifting exchange rates, Sony Interactive Entertainment has decided to adjust the recommended retail price of the PlayStation 5 in certain regions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Starting April 14, you’ll see these new prices for the PS5:
- Europe: The PS5 Digital Edition is now priced at €499.99. The pricing for the standard PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive remains unchanged.
- UK: The PS5 Digital Edition will be available for £429.99, with no changes to the standard model’s price.
- Australia: The standard PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray goes up to AUD $829.95, while the Digital Edition will cost AUD $749.95.
- New Zealand: The standard PS5 has been adjusted to NZD $949.95, and the Digital Edition will be NZD $859.95.
It’s important to note that the price for the PS5 Pro remains the same.

- Europe: Reduced to €79.99
- UK: New price is £69.99
- Australia: Now marked at AUD $124.95
