Have you ever wondered exactly how much money a PC gamer with a PC Game Pass can save? Well, it’s quite a bit — the total value of games added to the service in 2024 is nearly $5,000.
This impressive figure was calculated by Jamie Hore over at PCGamesN. He took a comprehensive list of 137 games added to the service in 2024, accounted for their individual prices at the point they were added, and came up with a grand total of $4,812.63. To put that into perspective, subscribing to PC Game Pass for an entire year only costs about $143. That’s a hefty chunk of change saved!
Of course, there are some considerations to keep in mind. This calculation assumes that you’re the type of player who jumps on every new game the instant it’s available. Plus, the real savings come from playing the games you had intended to purchase anyway. For instance, even if I can play the latest games like Starfield and save $30, it’s not a big deal to me unless it’s something I wanted to play.
Nevertheless, it’s hard to deny the value Game Pass offers when looking at it from a data-driven angle. The details get even more intriguing when you break it down by month, courtesy of the PCGamesN article. April emerged as a standout month with 17 new games, five being day-one releases. Meanwhile, December was a bit lackluster, with only six games added, two of them debut launches. Despite this, December still offered potential savings of $214.94, which isn’t too shabby!
So, what do you make of PC Game Pass now? Does knowing these figures make you more inclined to subscribe, or do you regret not signing up last year? Or perhaps you’re more of a rogue, with dreams of adventure out on the digital seas? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
