OneXPlayer has just revealed a versatile new powerhouse that can function as either a console or a laptop, tailored to fit your specific needs, and it’s starting at $899. Named the OneXPlayer G1, this device is loaded with the latest processors from both Intel and AMD, offers up to 64GB of memory, and boasts 4TB of storage. The crowdfunding campaign is live on Indiegogo, and early backers—those who jump in within the first four days—will receive a free protective case.
As for its specifications, the OneXPlayer G1 comes available in several configurations: Strix Point, Arrow Lake-H, and Hawk Point. At the top of the line, you’ll find the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which packs 12 Zen 5 cores (a combination of four Zen 5 and eight Zen 5c) alongside a Radeon 890M based on RDNA 3.5 architecture, equipped with 16 Compute Units.
A little more down the lineup, the Arrow Lake-H surprises with the newly announced Core Ultra 7 255H, featuring 16 cores (six P, eight E, and two LPE) paired with the Arc 140T; which reportedly scores 4,060 points on 3DMark (most likely the Time Spy test) according to OneXPlayer’s claim. This score would outpace the Arc 140V found in Lunar Lake, though we’ll have to see what independent tests confirm. Lastly, the Hawk Point option with the Ryzen 7 8840U includes eight Zen 4 cores paired with a Radeon 780M, which sports eight Compute Units.
The cost of the G1 kicks off from $899, which gets you a Ryzen 7 8840U, 32GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD. For those seeking the utmost in performance, the $1,539 version includes a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 64GB of RAM, and 4TB of storage.
Displays are packed into an 8.8-inch, 2.5K screen running at a snappy 144Hz. Built from Aircraft-grade Aluminum and weighing just 900g, the G1 is light but robust. It also features a detachable keyboard and trackpad to accommodate productivity. Once removed, you’ll find a built-in controller and a mini-keyboard at the bottom that seems to accept touch input.
The triggers are linear in nature, though it’s not specified whether the joysticks use hall-effect sensors. For those wanting even more power, the G1 includes OCuLink and USB4 ports for adding an external GPU, along with several USB Type-A ports to enhance connectivity.
Currently, the OneXPlayer G1 is up for grabs through Indiegogo. Just remember that backing a crowdfunding campaign is more like making an investment than just buying a product outright.
