EdEN had the opportunity to dive into “Sorry We’re Closed,” a quirky and story-rich survival horror game with a retro vibe from Akupara Games and à la mode games.
Here’s a sneak peek from our review:
In “Sorry We’re Closed,” players are taken on a captivating adventure as Michelle, a character determined to lift a haunting curse placed by a love-struck archdemon. The game uniquely combines the everyday life and supernatural realms as players navigate interactions with the local residents of Michelle’s London neighborhood. The choices players make can either assist or complicate the lives of these characters, all while battling against time to protect Michelle’s soul. The game draws clear inspiration from classic titles like “Resident Evil,” noted for its distinctive fixed camera angles, and “Silent Hill,” known for its chilling and esoteric horror themes.
