In the vast landscape of MMORPGs, it’s rare to find a game you can play casually on a second monitor while you binge Crunchyroll or get lost in a podcast about baking competitions in foreign lands. Typically, these games demand your full attention as you embark on quests, slay mobs, and navigate dungeons with players you might never cross paths with again. However, RuneScape carved out a niche for itself by being the go-to game for those who wanted to watch their character evolve with relatively low effort. Andrew Gower, one of the creative forces behind RuneScape, eventually branched out from Jagex to establish Fen Research. Now, his latest creation, Brighter Shores, has hit Steam as a free-to-play, point-and-click MMORPG. It’s certainly turning heads in the gaming community. – Brandon Morgan
