Have you been itching to get your hands on Dune Awakening? Good news! You’ll soon have a chance to dive into the game from May 9 to May 12 during a free open beta weekend.
To participate, you’ll need to add the game to your wishlist before May 9 or snag one of the many beta codes the team will distribute. So, while it’s classified as “open,” you might still need a bit of luck to join in. Think of it as having one foot in the door.
Interestingly, this beta arrives just ahead of the original release date, May 15, which got pushed back so the developers at Funcom could fine-tune everything for launch.
During the beta, you’ll get access to the first two regions. If you explore thoroughly, there’s about 20 hours of gameplay to enjoy. You’ll have a chance to check out some Research Facilities, test out early abilities for various classes, and engage in a little PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a solid preview of what’s to come. Want to know more about what we think? We’ve got a new preview up today that dives into this part of the game.
