PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have a lot to look forward to this year. Currently, there are four exciting games set to debut as part of the service’s Game Catalog perk. Among them is FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer first-person shooter from Remedy Entertainment, which has unveiled a new release window—summer 2025.
FBC: Firebreak will transport players to The Oldest House, the iconic headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control and the backdrop of the highly praised action game, Control. This time around, Remedy Entertainment is pivoting from their usual narrative-driven approach, honing in on a gameplay-centric experience instead. They’re also setting a new standard by crafting a live-service game that sidesteps the usual temptation and pressure to constantly engage. All content is freely available for players to enjoy at their convenience.
A fresh trailer has just dropped, showcasing the Paper Chase Job, one of the many missions available in FBC: Firebreak. In this particular mission, the Firebreak Initiative is tasked with clearing a part of The Oldest House overrun by errant sticky notes. The gameplay teaser also gives us a sneak peek at the various loadouts players can utilize to fend off the Hiss threat.
Once released, you’ll be able to play FBC: Firebreak on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the Epic Games Store and Steam.
This is just one of the quartet of games making their way to the Game Catalog upon launch. Labyrinthine adventures await with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor also included. The first episode of Lost Records is already available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members, with its follow-up scheduled for release next month.
In addition, PS Plus members can tap into the early access perks of the PS Store’s Spring Sale. This means exclusive bargains on great titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right now.
