Last year, Tensori unveiled its plans to introduce VR support for their game “POOLS,” which draws inspiration from the eerie Backrooms Internet lore. Fans of the game can look forward to diving into this virtual experience on May 30th, specifically designed for PC VR headsets.
“POOLS” stands out from typical horror-themed walking simulators. This game doesn’t focus on escaping monsters or cracking perilous puzzles. Instead, it immerses you in a series of unsettling pools that evoke a sense of unease.
The VR adaptation will be a free update for the current PC game, scheduled to go live on May 30th. Players can explore the game in its entirety, including the freshly added ‘Chapter 0’. This update, which was released on April 21st, introduced a brand new level for players to enjoy.
For those on Steam, Tensori has good news: the VR functionality will arrive at no extra cost. Console players won’t miss out either, as the PS5 version will receive PSVR 2 support later this year, according to the latest announcement on Steam.
In the meantime, eager gamers can snag a discounted copy of “POOLS” on Steam, with the price slashed to $6.36 until April 27th—35% off the standard cost of $9.79. There’s also a complimentary demo available, though it’s still unclear if VR capabilities will be integrated into it when the May 30th update rolls out.
