Have you managed to snag a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2 yet? If so, here’s some great news: Sonic is set to take center stage on launch day! SEGA has announced that “Sonic X Shadow Generations” will be available on June 5th.
Alongside Sonic, fans can look forward to “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” and “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” when the new console launches. Both physical and digital pre-orders for these games are now open.
In “Sonic X Shadow Generations,” you’ll get to step into the shoes of Shadow in an all-new campaign, featuring unique abilities that highlight why he’s called the Ultimate Life Form. This release also includes a remastered version of “Sonic Generations,” bringing classic 3D and 2D levels to life with enhanced graphics and new extras.
Meanwhile, “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” is set to deliver thrilling puzzle action. It introduces a fresh “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode where players can compete in 2v2 battles, sharing a board to create epic combos. The game supports up to 4 players both locally and online and boasts a diverse lineup of 40 characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, each offering unique skills.
For those interested in a deeper narrative, the “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” offers the ultimate version of the much-loved origin tale from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s series, now optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2. This edition includes never-before-seen story scenes, a novel “Red Light Raid” multiplayer mode for battling enemies with friends, and voice-over options in English and Chinese, plus subtitles in various languages.
Additionally, pre-orders are also available for “RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army,” slated for release on June 19. Later this year, expect the debut of “Two Point Museum.”
