Excitement is building for PS5 Pro gamers, as they can look forward to "stunning visual fidelity" in the upcoming RPG by Capcom, thanks in no small part to the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology. The highly awaited game, Monster Hunter Wilds, is all set to hit the shelves on February 28.
Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest RPG that will debut with PS5 Pro support, joining a swiftly expanding lineup of AAA titles optimized for the Pro’s capabilities. Capcom promises that players will experience enhanced visuals while keeping the game’s performance intact. However, they have issued a word of caution: frame rates might dip in situations where the system is heavily taxed.
The PS5 Pro enhancements for Monster Hunter Wilds are designed to cater to different player preferences:
-
Prioritize Resolution: With ray tracing turned on, you’ll get an output and rendering resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 3072 x 1728, respectively, running at 30 fps.
-
Balanced: Again, ray tracing is enabled here, maintaining an output resolution of 3840 x 2160 but adjusting the rendering resolution to 2496 x 1404, with a frame rate set at 40 fps.
- Prioritize Frame Rate: In this mode, ray tracing is off, allowing for an output and rendering resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080, producing a smooth 60 fps.
For those eager to dive into the action ahead of the official release, the good news is Monster Hunter Wilds will offer another free beta test. It kicks off later today and wraps up on Sunday evening, February 9. You can add the beta to your collection right now via the PS Store.
