Marvel Snap, the popular free-to-play card game, is back online after a temporary shutdown over the weekend. Developer Second Dinner took to Twitter to share some insights about the situation and their plans moving forward. It turns out the game went offline when TikTok, run by ByteDance, experienced issues, affecting Nuverse—their current publisher and a ByteDance subsidiary.
In their update, Second Dinner announced, “Marvel Snap is back online in the US.” They emphasized their commitment to preventing such disruptions in the future by taking greater control over services and seeking a new publishing partner. This marks the beginning of a fresh chapter for Marvel Snap.
The team also acknowledged the uncertainty players might feel, saying, “We know this probably leaves you with even more questions than answers. We appreciate your patience, but in the meantime, enjoy playing Marvel Snap.” They wrapped up by promising to keep everyone updated with new information as soon as it becomes available.
