Can you believe it’s already been a year since Palworld made its entrance into early access? Time sure has flown by! Though the initial excitement might have dimmed a bit, this unique blend of Pokémon-inspired and shooter gameplay has been steadily progressing with regular updates. Of course, they’ve hit a few bumps along the way, particularly with that legal rumble against Pokémon Company and Nintendo. But, undeterred, the developers are rolling up their sleeves and pushing forward with fresh content! Recently, they shared an exciting new roadmap on their official Twitter, outlining some upcoming updates that fans have been eagerly anticipating.
Kicking things off, there are some major updates planned: get ready for co-op crossplay, which means you’ll be able to team up with friends even if you’re not on the same platform. They’re also introducing a feature that lets you transfer your Pals between worlds. Plus, there’s a thrilling final boss encounter and a proper ending scenario lined up. Expect enhancements to make your Pals even stronger and new Pals and technologies to be introduced into the mix. And here’s a fun twist: they have more game collaborations in the works, so it’s not just the Terraria crossover to look forward to. On top of all that, they’re focused on refining basics like Pal abilities, improving user experience, and optimizing object placement in the world.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “So, when do we get to dive into all this?” Well, that’s still a bit up in the air. The roadmap isn’t about pinning down dates; it’s a glimpse of what the team is working on. As for when these updates will drop, we’ll just have to stay tuned.
In the meantime, Palworld’s hosting its very first global popularity poll. This is your chance to vote for your favorite Pal—I’ve got my fingers crossed for that Totoro-esque guy with the gatling gun. Cast your vote and make your pick the fan favorite!
