Recently, Dead by Daylight has unveiled a couple of codes that players can use to snag some free in-game goodies, including both currency and cosmetic items. Released back in 2016, this online multiplayer game features a gripping blend of survival and horror elements and is available across a range of platforms including PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
Despite a bit of a bumpy start, Dead by Daylight has become massively popular, boasting tens of thousands of players on a daily basis. The adrenaline-pumping scenario where a group of Survivors tries to outsmart a cunning Killer seems to hit the right note with gamers worldwide. Even after eight years, the game developed by Behaviour Interactive still enjoys a thriving player base. As a testimony to its enduring appeal, it recently clocked in a 24-hour peak of over 44,000 concurrent players just on Steam. This popularity is buoyed by frequent updates and collaborations that introduce new content like characters and skins inspired by iconic figures from pop culture, such as the Alien universe.
Taking to Twitter, the official Dead by Daylight account shared a couple of codes for players to redeem in the in-game store for a bit of a festive bonus. By entering “IFLOOKSCOULDCHILL,” players can get their hands on the Frosty Eyes Cosmetics, which grants their character striking icy blue eyes. Meanwhile, the “MAKEITREINDEER” code gifts 250K Bloodpoints, a valuable in-game currency essential for leveling up characters. However, don’t delay—this latter code is only active until January 7, 2025, and was offered to make amends for recent temporary issues affecting the ongoing Bone Chill event.
The Bone Chill event, running until January 7th at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT, also includes other enticing limited-time unlockables. Players can look forward to snagging winter-themed costumes, weapons, charms, and log-in bonuses. While the codes are a delightful one-time treat to entice newcomers, the event rewards provide ample motivation to keep diving back into the game throughout the festive season. Together, these opportunities make it fairly easy for players to amass Bloodpoints, fueling their progression in the game.
Such is Dead by Daylight’s standing that its world has transcended gaming, venturing into comic books and board games that came out in 2023. A film adaptation is next in line, with horror experts Jason Blum and James Wan at the helm. Although fans are eagerly awaiting more details, Blum hinted in October 2024 that the process of crafting the screenplay might take anywhere from one to five years, leaving plenty to speculate about the film’s eventual release.
