A dedicated player of Skyrim has quite astoundingly reached Level 70 without ever stepping foot outside the game’s starting zone. And to top it all off, they’ve managed to turn the Sneak skill into a Legendary 11 times over, a feat that might just ramp up the game’s difficulty down the line.
Now, Skyrim boasts an array of fast-leveling techniques, but leaning on them too heavily can turn the tables against players. In this game, foes scale to match the player’s level, and the trick has traditionally been for players to find better gear to keep floating amid rising enemy damage. However, when players start grinding up non-combat skills too swiftly, they might find themselves cornered in battles, unless lady luck grants them some advanced gear promptly. It’s intriguing how players devise these swift leveling techniques.
Redditor bogthebog uploaded a clip showcasing the fruits of their current playthrough. They’ve stayed inside the initial area where players shouldn’t realistically surpass Level 2, even after clearing out enemies. Yet here they are, at Level 70, with Sneak being a Legendary skill 11 times within that confined space, right after getting past Helgen and almost out into Skyrim’s greater realm. It’s almost unbelievable how they’ve managed to pull this off so early in the game.
This incredible feat didn’t happen overnight. According to bogthebog, they poured about seven hours into the grind. They maxed out the Two-Handed skill by whacking Hadvar, who curiously doesn’t react aggressively. The Sneak skill was another story, as they performed similar actions on Hadvar while sneaking, highlighting just how straightforward it can be to max out this particular skill, especially when it’s been done 11 times thus far.
What’s striking is that even after over a decade since launching, Skyrim’s community remains vibrantly active. Normally, you’d expect some weariness with a game of this kind of seniority, but that’s not quite the case here. Yet, whispers of longing for The Elder Scrolls 6 grow louder in the community. The world holds its breath since the game’s announcement years back in 2018, especially now that Starfield has made its mark. Let’s hope the fog lifts soon, unveiling the next elder scroll adventure Bethesda has in store.
